Chevening Scholarships for Master's Studies
Chevening Scholarships, the UK government's prestigious international scholarship program, is a premier program that supports outstanding future leaders from over 160 countries, enabling them to pursue one-year master's programs in the UK. Citizens of most Arab countries are eligible to apply, with the exception of six Gulf states: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. This cycle of scholarships is open to students commencing their studies in the UK in the autumn of 2026. Scholarship recipients receive full financial support for one academic year, covering tuition fees and additional expenses while completing a full-time master's program. Research-based programs are not eligible. The program does not define a "standard model" for a Chevening Scholar; rather, it seeks "talented individuals with the ideas and influence to lead positive change and contribute to building a better future." Chevening places greater emphasis on how your chosen program and university align with key global priorities, such as promoting economic growth, supporting resilience to climate change, enhancing security and stability, and supporting inclusive and effective development. After completing their studies, graduates join an active global network of over 57,000 alumni and return home equipped with the knowledge and networks to achieve their ambitions and advance professionally.
